Hotel Claska Reno
Located in Meguro, Tokyo, Hotel Claska operates/showcases a charming suite design by Torafu Architects. The wall features various laser-cut shapes to provide specific functions for the guests: coat hanger, books, luggage, desk, hair blow-dryer, lighting, etc. Such neat design distracts visitors from living in a confined space.

This is not Photoshoped. And it lights up.
light bulb is a levitating yet powered lightbulb. It will float stably in midair and remain on for years without any physical contact, charging, or batteries. Ironically, with the levitation and wireless power circuitry both on, this entire package still consumes less than half the power of an incandescent bulb (http://bea.st/sight/lightbulb/)

What was your tree house like?
Nothing compare to this, I dare to say… This is a work by Dietrich Wegner, he called it Playhouse. No doubt, he explored the idea quite perfectly. Here’s a smaller size What the inside looks like. I really want to touch the “cloud”…. Wegner’s site: http://www.dietrichwegner.com/index.html If you would like to know more about the concept of this...

My friend Connie introduced me to this gorgeous game… For those who haven’t played it, go get it and enjoy it with your friends and family! Cave of Forgotten Dreams
Last weekend Shawn and I went to see Cave of Forgotten Dreams, it was absolutely mind blowing. Besides from the lack of 3D technology, the idea of knowing people and animals that we never will know what they look like, living in the cave 30,000 years go, is quite unimaginable, until now. Through these artists before our time, we are able to see exotic animals like rhinos, buffalos once roaring in...

Handschrift, by hands, no shit.
A young and talented designer from Germany, José Ernesto Rodríguez, created a set of alphabets by his own hands, literally. Everything was done on a copy machine. Piece by piece, he made adjustments with his hands whenever he wasn’t satisfied with the outcome. Combining the traditional aspect of design, the good old sweat and tear by the copy machine, and the right tool of current...

Extreme Clean & Clear
These are samples of Christian Jackson’s Children Story Poster series, they demonstrate his love for graphic design. Everything is cut down to bare-bone minimum with bits of juicy details that just make you wish you have come up with the idea and visual before him. I find his work very soothing and relaxing when you go through each and every poster, from the foreign feeling at the beginning...

Longing for a Clock
It was extremely slow at work today, so I browsed around and thank goodness I did, because I think I’ve found the clock(s) of my life! My boss accidentally saw the clock, and asked me the name of the artist/maker. I didn’t give it to him of course! It’s my love, I can’t share with anyone else. But I will show you of course, since this blog is fairly new. The artist’s...

Obsessives: Soda Pop →
A while ago, I saw something unique for people to see and try. I am jealous for those who live in San Francisco. It’s a soda shop, owned by a passionate man who still have a kid at heart. He has inspired me to call my second blog, “1870 Cobalt Blue”.
